Halloween Geometry

4.G.1 Halloween Geometry

Halloween Geometry

I’m not sure what it is about Halloween, but it always makes me think about geometry.  To some people, geometry is scarier than a ghost.  But for a math teacher, Halloween is an opportunity to review the basics of geometry, with a fun and spooky twist.  This year’s Halloween activity is based on Math CCSS 4.G.1; however, the material is easy enough for 3rd grade and a great review for 5th grade.

These activities review points, angles, rays, and lines—all with a Halloween theme.  A SMART board and PowerPoint lesson are also available for download, so you and your students can complete the activity together.
