At Bright Ideas Press, LLC, we are always looking for ways to improve the lives of children. One of the ways we are doing this is by reducing our carbon footprint. This past month we recycled 610 pounds of paper. Our 610 pounds saved 5.19 trees, 76.25 pounds of CO2, 1.01 cubic yards of landfill space, 2,135 gallons of water, 1,250.50 kilowatts of electricity, and 18.30 pounds of air pollutants. Employees at BIP not only recycle paper and boxes that we use here at work, many of our employees bring in items from home. A sincere effort is made every day to think and act “recycle.”
In addition to paper, we also recycle cans, glass, and plastic. This material gets sorted and sent to the proper recycling centers so that they can also be broken down and used for new products. Our EICO (Environmental Impact & Community Outreach) team is always looking for ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle. We not only care about educating the future generation, but also want to help improve their quality of life.
